Join Pack 3

We’d love for your son (in kindergarten through 5th grade) to join Pack 3! Once you join, your son will participate in monthly den meetings in which the boys complete fun “adventures” with grade-level peers. He will also participate in monthly Pack meetings, in which all the boys in the Pack gather to hear a fun presentation, learn a skill, play games, etc. Additional Pack 3 activities include camping, fishing, hiking, Pinewood Derby, Model Rocket Launch, West Point football game, Somerset Patriots baseball game, service projects, marching in the local Mendham parades, and more.

You will need to register for Pack 0003 Brookside Community Club (Please note that Pack 3 is separate and distinct from Pack 133. Double check to make sure you are registering for Pack 3.)

Membership Fees

Note that membership is for twelve (12) months. The total membership fees for 2024 calendar year are $286 per Scout. This is broken out into two parts. The first is $146 for the Boy Scouts of America fee, which is for District and National activities. The second part is $140 which is the Pack Activity fee, which helps to fund the cost for Pack 3 activities throughout the year. The annual membership fees are due upon joining and then on the anniversary of the youth's membership.  However, the registration fee can be reduced or completely refunded by participating in the Pack's popcorn fundraising program. 

The Pack’s primary fundraising effort is popcorn sales which are conducted in the Fall. If a Scout sells the Pack’s pre-determined sales goal, he has covered his fair share of the Pack’s and Council’s fees.  If a Scout falls short of that amount, the Scout’s family will pay a portion of the $286 fee depending upon the amount of popcorn sold.

The Pack Committee does its best to control costs while providing a high-quality Scouting program.  However, some costs are beyond our control - therefore, the figures above are subject to change.
